Gothic woman playing ornate grand piano with mystical glowing runes in a candlelit medieval hall

My journey to this point in my creative path is a big surprise to me! Find out why by reading my About Page.

My Mission as a Composer

My mission as a composer is to provide music that is:

  • Playable by multiple levels and capacities
  • Preview-able
  • Compelling
  • As FREE as I can make it

Common Problems for Pianists and Singers

  • A lot of sheet music is fairly expensive (per song)
  • Many piano books contain more songs than are wanted or similar pieces to other books creating a lot of money spent for overlap
  • Music previews for online purchases are minimal or nonexistent

How am I working toward my mission as a composer?

I provide audio and video previews of all of my songs. While I can’t release the entire piece of sheet music for obvious reasons, musicians can hear the entire song, see significant sections of the music, see me play it, or see it via a MIDI video (fancy keyboard that looks like a video game).

I will give my subscribers (individually) far more value than they ever spend. Substack is similar to a magazine subscription. By using Substack to promote my work, I can seek affordable support from musicians and creatives like myself while also giving them extraordinary value.

  • Most sheet music ranges from $5.99 – $29 a copy
  • My subscription cost is LESS than one piece of sheet music (only $5 a month)
  • Subscribers receive minimally one (1) piece of free sheet music each month
    • My aim, however, is to provide multiple FREE pieces of free sheet music each month (especially for multiple playing levels)
  • Subscribers receive a 70% discount on Creative Consultations with me (a $25 discount off of a $40 rate = $15 per session)
  • Subscribers receive the latest news on what I am up to, what songs I am working on, and what’s coming down the pipeline.
  • When feasible, I will extend discounts to subscribers on future music books published for sale on retail platforms

My Mission as a Creative

My mission as a creative is to:

  • Inspire and motivate other creatives to create
  • Help dispel the lies we tell ourselves that create toxic blocks to self-improvement and miraculous creation

My journey to becoming a composer was long and very indirect. I was unable to find my creative path because many well-disguised lies and incorrect comparisons kept me from discovering my dream. I feel passionate about trying to encourage other creatives to see past their own blocks so that they can find their creative home and feel the peace that comes from doing so.

How am I working toward my mission as a creative?

For every song I write and share, I am sharing my weaknesses, struggles, and the composing journey (which is never the same twice). I want to show other creatives that I’m not perfect, that I’m still improving every day, and that you don’t have to reach some unknown level to start, or continue.
